I made the bestand scariest decision of my life so far.
I joined a network marketing company. But not just any company…
I had heard nothing but negative things about network marketing from my friends & family. I didn’t know anyone who had been successful with it. I was pretty sure I just joined one of those “pyramid schemes” and had no idea what I said yes to. But something in my gut told me to ignore the naysayers and follow my intuition because this could potentially change my life. So I maxed out my credit card and signed up as a coach.
When I joined Team Beachbody I had zero intentions of building a business. I was just a lost college student who had gained the freshman 40lb and wanted to feel better in her own skin. So I signed up as a coach to get the discount, to work on my own health & fitness, and because I was tad bit curious.
I never in a million years thought 5 years later I would be a “professional” network marketer. I am just so thankful I found this opportunity (on Instagram of all places) and had the courage to go for it!
Life truly hasn’t been the same since. To celebrate my 5 year anniversary I decided to take a walk down memory lane…come along for the ride!
My first coaching conference in Las Vegas.
January 7th, 2013.
The day that changed it all.
I had no idea that day would have any significance in my life at the time. I joined this community first and foremost to work on me. I had made some progress on my own, but started to feel alone on my health & fitness journey. Most of my friends at the time were in college and drank most of their calories (in the form of alcohol) while I was battling emotional eating along with PCOS symptoms. I knew if I wanted to continue to make progress on my journey I need some positive and like minded friends in my life (aka accountability). As sad as this may sound, the honest truth is I signed up as a coach because I needed friends and wanted to save 25%.
After 3 months of committing to at home workouts and drinking Shakeology, I was feeling on top of the world. My PCOS symptoms were subsiding and I truly felt good from the inside out. My cycle (which had always been irregular) became regular, my acne cleared up, my clothes fit better, I had more energy, and I didn’t feel alone anymore. I met the most amazing women from our community who were also on their health & fitness journey.
I knew I had to pay it forward. I had to help other women reclaim their health and ultimately their lives. And to make a long story short, I have been paying it forward one life at a time ever since.
9 months into building my coaching business part time, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else as a career. For the first time ever I looked forward to working (I have had a job ever since I was 15). I love coaching other women and being a part of their journey, it is such an honor to watch transformations occur! At the time I was in my 5th year of college, and nowhere near finishing my degree. I had switched my major 3 or 4 times by this point and landed on environmental education because I love the environment. Yet the further I got into my degree program the more I realized I didn’t necessarily love the jobs that would be *potentially* waiting for me at the end of my studies. Saving the world from global warming seemed like a mission I may never actually see the impact on.
The second scariest decision of my life was about to come next…
After plenty of thought and debate, I decided college was no longer for me and that I was going to drop out and pursue coaching with all of my heart, soul, and effort. I am not sure if this leap of faith or the first one was scarier! I have learned to lean into those feelings and follow my fears (which led me to my dreams) instead of hiding from them.
I am sure my friends and family thought I was crazy. Maybe they still do? But I have never looked back or regretted the decision to follow my heart. Not even for one second.
If something calls to you, follow it. Don’t let anything stop you!
My first year in business was challenging but I learned so much through my mistakes and failures. I grew SO much as I dove into more personal growth books and making healthy lifestyle changes. I also realized my worth and was able to walk away from an unhealthy 5 year relationship, something I may have never done if I had never joined such a positive and supportive community. For the first time ever I was able to support myself fully from my coaching business which was incredibly empowering.
In 2014 I had the opportunity to travel more than ever before! The travel bug bit when Beachbody sent me on my first cruise for my work the previous year. I even got to bring one of my best friends with me! I remember sitting in the hot tub one night, looking up at the stars, thinking “this is MY life, I can create whatever I want”…and so I did!
I created a life that gave me the freedom to travel until my heart was content while making a positive impact in the world. That year I went to Wisconsin, Belize, Cozumel, the Grand Caymans, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Arizona & Texas! I also manifested my perfect guy into my life, Zach.
Traveling near and far has always been at the top of my bucket list. Coaching not only has given me back my health & happiness it has given me the opportunity to make my dreams- my reality, which has given me the courage to dream bigger and help you do the same by showing you anything is possible!
Over the course of the last 5 years I have helped hundreds of women reclaim the health & happiness through fitness and nutrition. I have witnessed so many transformations of mind, body and soul. I am proud to be part of a preventative health care movement in the current state of crisis within the industry. It lights me up inside to see women transforming their lives by creating healthier habits and knowing I was a small part of that journey.
Coaching has allowed me to pursue some of my wildest dreams and bucket list items!
Like getting yoga certified with Zach in Costa Rica back in 2015.

To moving into our mountain dream home in the Pacific Northwest.
While being a constant work in progress. I am so grateful for all the experiences and doors that have been opened for me since I said yes to coaching. Beyond the experience the personal growth since beginning this journey has been priceless. 5 years of showing up, doing the work, and having a ton of fun along the way. I am a different person from the inside out.
Not only have I built a successful business, I have also helped many other women become six figure earners. Empowering others to find their health & happiness AND change their financially future is incredibly rewarding. When I think about all the lives that have been changed because I had the courage to say YES to this 5 years ago, it gives me the chills.
I share none of this to brag, but to show you what is possible when you follow your heart and chase YOUR dreams. I am so thankful I found this opportunity and want nothing more than to pay it forward to as many people as possible. Because I said yes to coaching 5 years ago, so many others have said YES too! Never forget that speaking your truth has the power to change the world.
Many have asked me, what I am going to do next? As if my work here is done. Truth is I have only just begun! There are so many lives to impact, so many people out there who need this just as much as I did 5 years ago, and I freakin love what I do. Coaching feels like my calling and I can’t imagine doing anything else beside continuing to grow and spread the fit revolution.
To all of my amazing clients who have trusted me on their journey and supported my business, thank you. I wouldn’t be here if you didn’t believe in me as your coach.
To Team FitRevolution, my amazing tribe of coaches, thank you for joining me on this mission and making the world a healthier & happier place.
